Lucy Mildred  Grigsby (Young)
Lucy M. Grigsby – age 93 of Luttrell, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, November 12, 2018. She was a lifelong member of Cedar Ford Baptist Church. Lucy made an impact on the community through her service to Luttrell Elementary School and her church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John “J. B.” Grigsby; parents, Millard and Martha Young; sisters, Ott and Nancy; brothers, Hughie, Homer, Dewey, Kenneth and Jimmy. Lucy is survived by her daughters, Karen (Mark) Cloud, Sharon (Phil) Troutman, Missy (Jeff) Hammond; son, John “Butch” (Sharon) Grigsby; grandchildren, John (Cindy) Grigsby, Kenny Chesney, Sherry (Peter) Franks, Kim (Lee) Woodson, Jennifer (Matt) Stephens, Chip (Heather) Lynch, Megan (Chris) Pratt, Wes Cloud, John Hammond and Xan Hammond; great grandchildren, Danielle (Tommy) Grissom, Austin Grigsby, Taylor Harris, Stephanie Franks, Dani Woodson, Cooper Franks, Sadie Lynch, Laney Woodson, Aleah Woodson, Jackson Lynch, Lucy Pratt, Marlie Stephens and Hayden Stephens; great-great grandchild, Adelyn Grissom; sister, Edith Bolden; and brother, Lillard Young. The family would like to express a special thank you to Meryle Kitts for the friendship, love and care over the years and Avalon Hospice team.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00p.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2018 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral to immediately follow with grandson, John Grigsby officiating. Family and friends will meet at the main entrance of Greenwood Cemetery at 12:45 p.m., Thursday, November 15, 2018 for a 1:00 p.m. interment service.
